Laytonsville, MD – Bill Meissner, President/Partner of Ruppert Properties, announces the recent sale of ‘The Brewery Building’ located at 4607 Wedgewood Blvd to Flying Dog Brewery.
Ruppert Properties purchased the 46,000 SF facility from the former Frederick Brewing Company in 2004. Shortly thereafter, Flying Dog Brewery, founded in Aspen CO, entered the market and partnered with Ruppert at the property.
“The time was right”, says Meissner. While we have thoroughly enjoyed our partnership with Flying Dog over the last 10 years, they wanted to ultimately own their facility and this property made great sense for obvious reasons. It was truly a win-win for both companies”
Jim Caruso, CEO of Flying Dog Brewery describes the purchase as beneficial for their business. “Flying Dog purchased the property because owning the land and building will give us much more flexibility in determining how we continue to expand our production capacity.”
