On Thursday, March 31st, Ruppert Properties was honored by the Frederick County Office of Economic Development with the Modern Master Piece Award for its renovation of Monocacy Trading Center.
Purchased in May 2014, the 202,000 SF warehouse is situated on 28 acres in Walkersville, Maryland and was once home to Rotorex Corporation. The former manufacturing facility had laid vacant and abandoned for several years prior to Ruppert Properties investment in the property. “With the help of Fitzgerald Realty Group and Archive Design, we were able to take a non-functioning obsolete facility; revitalize it, reposition it, and bring jobs into the community,” states Dean Rasco, Vice President of Ruppert Properties. “To me that is what makes us most proud when looking at this project. We were able to reuse something that was left from an earlier generation and bring it back.”
Monocacy Trading Center, is zoned for industrial and office uses with 20-foot clear height warehouse space for lease, in both dock and drive-in loading configurations. The property is served by rail and heavy industrial power and is located among the many technology and manufacturing firms in Frederick County, Maryland including the Fort Detrick Interagency.
Biodefense and National Cancer Institute campuses and has convenient access to interstate transportation corridors.
