LAYTONSVILLE Ruppert Properties has received a prestigious award from the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties.
Ruppert was presented with the only award in the Best Industrial/Flex Office category for Stanford Trading Center II on Mountville Road. The Award of Merit was given by the Maryland/DC chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) at the 5th Annual Awards of Excellence.
“This was an exciting award to win,” says William Meissner, managing partner and vice president of Ruppert Properties. “NAIOP standards are very high and to be recognized with our first entry ever speaks not only to the quality of the product, but to the efforts of all the members of the Stanford team.” In addition to Ruppert Properties, which acted as owner/developer, the team included: NuTec Design Associates of York, PA (architect); Morgan-Keller Inc. of Frederick (general contractor);Harris Smariga & Assoc., Inc. (civil engineers); and Tyler-Donegan Real Estate (listing broker).
Stanford Trading Center II is a set of 34,300- square-foot twin buildings with six bays each and is the second trading center built by Ruppert Properties to fill the market niche of users seeking functional space as mall as 5,600 square feet.
“In developing this concept,” says Meissner, “we recognized the need of smaller, single-location users, or branch offices of larger companies, needing less space but the higher ceiling and deeper truck court of a traditional warehouse. By combining smaller flex/warehouse buildings with the professional setting of an upscale business park, we have been able to offer a product that is in very limited supply in our region.”
Ruppert Properties specializes in light industrial/warehouse development and redevelopment. Groundbreaking for Standford Trading Center III, IV and V is scheduled for this summer.
